As we express our gratitude we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.
John F. Kennedy
Many of us were raised here. It’s the simple way of life that draws us to this place. Besides good schools and neighbors helping neighbors, you rely on knowing that you and your family will be medically cared for. A major key that ensures rural Montana communities thrive is knowing a hospital is close by. Central Montana Medical Center is not only physically here for you, but works hard to care for you. Our work with donors, charitable organizations, cities and towns plays a critical role in both community and hospital development.
Tax—exempt donations to CMMC’s Foundation guide us to improve the quality of life of our patients we serve. It doesn’t matter how much you give, it simply matters that you give. We make it easy with options to fit your needs financially.

Cash.
This is the most common way to gift to CMMC by check or credit card.
Recurring Gifts.
You can select to make a monthly, quarterly or annual recurring gift on your debit or credit card, ensuring your gift keeps on giving.
Tribute Gifts.
Gift to CMMC in a meaningful way by remembering or honoring your loved one.
Stock. Bonds. Mutual Funds.
Gifts to CMMC of appreciated securities provide a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the donated asset. You will pay no capital gains tax if you owned them longer than one year.
Bank Accounts and CDs.
Name CMMC the beneficiary of your bank account or on CDs. Upon your death, the assets pass to CMMC without going through probate.
Real Estate.
This is simplier than you think. If you own property that is not mortgaged, depreciated in value, you can deduct the fair market value of your real estate gift to CMMC and have no capital gians taxes.
Crops and Livestock.
This is neat, especially living in rural Montana where agriculture is the mainstream of business. You can transfer ownership of your commodity to CMMC before it is sold and not have taxable income from the sale.
Retirement Account.
You can leave your retirement plan to CMMC. With financial assistance, a percentage of income taxes can be avoided and at the same time, tax favored assets are passed to your family.
Life Insurance.
A life insurance policy is an ideal way to give to charity. Name CMMC as the beneficiary, and receive tax-deductible contributions.
Will.
This is a popular way to give by designating an amount, percentage or remainder of your estate to CMMC in your will. You may also leave property.
Charitable Gift Annuity.
You make a gift to CMMC and you or someone you designate can receive lifetime income. The remainder goes to CMMC upon your passing.
Montana Tax Endowment Credit.
By directing funds to CMMC endowment fund (Vision 2000 or General Endowment) reducing your Montana taxes. This tax opportunity lets you receive state tax benefits, while contributing to a charity. Funding for the future through endowment means your donation is invested in permanently and only the interest is used for the purpose of the gift.
There are dozens of ways to make a difference. We encourage you to visit with your financial advisor for further ways to plan your gift giving, and take advantage of the Montana Income Tax Credits.
